Taking Risks

A sexual health clinic can offer 1:1 support if you are engaging in risk taking behaviors such as drug use and unprotected sex.

At some places, there are special services to help out young people (aged 9-19) who are concerned about:

  • Poor sexual health including STDs and unplanned pregnancy
  • Substance misuse (drugs and alcohol)
  • Behavior associated with the above two areas that may lead to harm
  • Issues relating to emotional wellbeing and mental health

If you are aged 9-19 and need that special services, then you can reach them and they can provide you with:

  • Up-to-date and accurate information on substance misuse, sexual health, unhealthy relationships and risk taking
  • Helping you out in making some decisions and support in maintaining positive changes
  • Advice and support about how to reduce the risks relating to the above
  • Other young people’s services that may be able to help with other areas of life such as school, health and home
  • Access to contraception, advice and guidance and signposting to mainstream sexual health services
