Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) OR Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

Diseases which are transmitted from one person to another through vaginal, anal or oral sex, as well as through genital contact with an infected partner are termed as Sexual Transmitted Diseases or Sexual Transmitted Infections.

Some of the common STD’s include Chlamydia, Genital Warts and Gonorrhoea. The sooner an STD is treated, the less long term damage it will cause.

A person may have more than one STD at a time and the only way to make sure that you don’t have one is to be tested.
